Ijesaland Geriatric Centre acquires Multi Million Naira First In Nigeria Interactive Complete Autonomous Robot

Ijesaland Geriatric Centre through the support of an Ijesa Citizen in Diaspora and Chief Medical Officer for Progressive Care Medical Group (PCMG) with over 35 years wealth of experience in geriatric care in the New York, Dr Abiola Familusi acquired a N36,000,000 (Thirty-Six Million Naira) first of its kind medical equipment in West Africa known as the “INTERACTIVE COMPLETE AUTONOMOUS ROBOT”

The delivery of the state of the art medical equipment which was confirmed in a statement by the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi on Tuesday in Ilesa said the procurement of the equipment started as a normal interaction on what Ijesas in Diaspora can do to complement development in the community between him and Dr Abiola Olawale Familusi, who is the son of a prominent figure in Ijesaland, Pa Sir Michael Mofoluwaso Familusi.

The Statement Reads “What started as a family interaction and engagement on Wednesday, 15th March 2023 between Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi and a cousin, Dr Abiola Olawale Familusi at his father’s (Pa Sir Michael Mofoluwaso Familusi) Ilesa residence on what the eminent Ijesas in diaspora could do to complement development at home led to a promise by Dr Abiola Familusi to donate the first of its kind medical equipment in West Africa, INTERACTIVE COMPLETE AUTONOMOUS ROBOT to Ijesaland Geriatric Centre (IGC).

The promise made by Dr Abiola Familusi seven and half months ago was redeemed today, Tuesday 31st October, 2023 with a delivery of INTERACTIVE COMPLETE AUTONOMOUS ROBOT to Ijesaland Geriatric Centre (IGC), Ilesa.”

Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi maintained that the equipment has been confirmed as the first to be ever delivered in Africa saying through the AUTONOMOUS ROBOT, Patients in IGC could be attended to by Medical Consultants and Specialists from all over the world to compliment and support the few and limited Medical Consultants and Specialists available at IGC and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Ile-Ife.

He noted that the equipment has been built with ailments diagnosis infrastructure which will further compliment and enhance the chances of the IGC Patients from benefiting from the medical diagnosis, analysis, and opinions of other medical experts around the world

“The particular brand of the AUTONOMOUS ROBOT(TEMI BRAND) delivered to IGC, Ilesa is confirmed to be the first ever delivered in Africa.

“The implication of this for IGC, Ilesa having this machine is that Patients in IGC could be attended to by Medical Consultants and Specialists from all over the world to compliment and support the few and limited Medical Consultants and Specialists available at IGC and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.”

“This equipment that is inbuilt with ailments diagnosis infrastructure will further compliment and enhance the chances of the IGC Patients from benefiting from the medical diagnosis, analysis, and opinions of other medical experts around the world.

Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi who said Ijesas and Nigerians will now be comfortably and adequately attended to at Ijesaland Geriatric Centre, Ilesa with the use of INTERACTIVE COMPLETE AUTONOMOUS ROBOT deeply appreciated the kind gesture of Dr Abiola Familusi adding that the State of the Art medical equipment will further uplift the standard of life of Ijesas.
