The Authorities of University of Ilesa on Tuesday commissioned the Institution’s First Students Hostel located within the campus premises.
Speaking during the epoch making event, The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the Institution, Honourable Gbenga Onigbogi said the hostel accommodation being commissioned is a testament to the fact that concerted progress is being made in terms of physical development of the University just as he commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Asaolu and his team for working hard to ensure that the goal and aspiration of taking the University to enviable heights is accomplished.
“The Hostel Accommodation being commissioned today further proves that concerted progress is being made in terms of physical development of the University, I commend the Vice Chancellor and his team for working hard to ensure that this is accomplished.
Honourable Onigbogi expressed his deep appreciation to Osun State Government under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke for the overwhelming support the institution has received since the transformation of the institution into a full fledged University.
He encouraged the University Management not to rest on its oars in making the University a model one just as he assured the Management of the Governing Council’s support.
In his Welcome Address, The Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Asaolu expressed satisfaction with the rapid growth and development recorded so far saying another performance indicator is visible with the commissioning of the Students Hostel Project.
He said the door of the institution is wide open for more partnership with private developers to improve Infrastructural development on campus.
Highlight of the event include presentation of 150 mattresses for the Students Hostel to the University by the Staffs.
