The University of Ilesa Project Fund has a received a huge boost as Pastor E.A Adeboye, a prominent Figure in Ijesaland and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God announced with delight his willingness to give a cash donation of N50, 000,000 (Fifty Million Naira) after which he would explore other forms of initiatives for a structural presence on Campus.
Following a recent visit of members of the Finance Committee of the University of Ilesa Project Fund of Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA), led by Chief Akinwande Akinola, Sawe of Ilesa to the Revered Clergy Man at his Mowe, Ogun state residence, to plead a case for financial support of the General Overseer and his Foundation in executing the establishment of the University of Ilesa and also to solicit for the establishment of physical structure to promote Scholarship and Research, Pastor Adeboye physically expressed his excitement and joy on learning of the take off of the activities of the University in Ilesa just as he pledged his unalloyed support for the development of the University.
The delegation consisted of Chief Akin Akinola – Representing the Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund, Prof. Taiwo Asaolu – Representing The University of Ilesa, HRH Oba Adetayo Haastrup and Arc. Ayodeji Ayeni.
