Property Owners Urged to Vacate Affected Structures Along Ereja Square – Imo – Brewery – Ilesa/Akure Express for Dualisation Project

In response to the ongoing dualisation project along Ereja Square – Imo – Brewery – Ilesa/Akure Express in Ilesa, property owners whose structures have been affected are urged to vacate their premises and remove all removable items and belongings within a seven-day period.

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure has issued a notice instructing affected property owners to comply with the evacuation order starting from Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, until Monday, May 20th, 2024. This measure is essential to facilitate the smooth progress of the dualisation exercise and ensure the safety of both workers and residents in the area.

Engr. Bashir Bello, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry in a statement today emphasized the importance of property owners’ cooperation in adhering to the evacuation notice saying Failure to comply may result in delays in the project timeline and could pose safety hazards during the construction phase.

Affected property owners are encouraged to take this notice seriously and make necessary arrangements to vacate their premises within the stipulated timeframe. The state government appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders as they work towards enhancing transportation infrastructure in the region.
