The Alamuye of Amuye-Faforiji-Ijesa in Atakumosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Dr Adebayo Faforiji Oteniara III , has sent a New Year felicitation to all Amuye-Faforiji sons and daughters and indeed Nigerians across the globe wishing them a happy and prosperous New Year.
In his New Year message made available to Journalists, Oba Faforiji encouraged the people to enter the New Year with renewed hope, vigour and great satisfaction, believing that 2024 would be better than previous years saying there are better days and a prosperous atmosphere ahead for Nigeria throughout the new year with constant supplications to God Almighty to endow the current administration under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with wisdom and the political will to do the right thing.
“Although the times are hard, but I have a strong belief in new beginnings and I think that we are in one right now. All we need to do is to pray that God Almighty endow the President and his team with wisdom and the political will to do the right thing. There is still hope for Nigeria”
The royal father said he shares the same vision with his people of a brighter future for Amuye-Faforiji saying the development of the ancient town is a collective responsibility of all and sundry just as he appreciated the efforts of High Chiefs Baba Risa, Michael Ogundiran, Odofin, Solomon Oluwasuyi, Ejemo, Saanu Aluko, Sajuku, Kehinde Ilesanmi and Aro, Gbenga Babajide, other chiefs and Asojus for their pursuit of better growth and development of Amuye-Faforiji, Osun state and Nigeria at large.
“My people are hard working already and they believe in a brighter future for Amuye-Faforiji -Ijesa and I share the same vision with them. Working together, nothing can stop our collective resolve to develop our community and improve our welfare. I am particularly blessed with good lieutenants in High Chiefs Baba Risa, Michael Ogundiran, Odofin, Solomon Oluwasuyi, Ejemo, Saanu Aluko, Sajuku, Kehinde Ilesanmi and Aro, Gbenga Babajide, other chiefs and Asojus. I thank them for their relentless pursuit of growth and development of Amuye-Faforiji, Osun state and Nigeria at large”.
Oba Faforiji said “My fervent prayer for Nigeria is that God Almighty will direct the paths of our leaders and endow then with the ability to turn things around and make Nigeria habitable so that this “japa” menace can be curbed in the soonest possible time.
He continued by saying “If Nigeria is prosperous, our children and several professionals will stay and join hands with the government to build a safe and more prosperous country.
